Course description
The swimmer is now confident in the water, they have started their aquatic breathing journey and can float in the water unaided. On completion of this level the swimmer will increase their swimming distance with more concentration on their streamline position and leg kick on their front and back. The swimmer will also begin to use their arms to move on their front and back. The swimmers water safety knowledge will increase on completion of this level.

Course Skills
- Push out on their front and maintain a streamline position without aid
- Push off on back in a streamline position without aid
- Push out on their front and maintain a streamline position without aid for 2m
- Push and glide on front for 3 meters (arms fully extended)
- Push and glide on back for 3 meters (correct arm position)
- Correct leg kick on front for 5m
- Correct legs kick on back for 5m
- Perform simultaneous kick and arm action on front for 5m
- Perform simultaneous kick and arm action on back for 5m
- Identify 5 hazards in the pool
