Course description
A Junior Academy swimming assessment results in placing a student in the course level that will benefit them the most. A qualified instructor assesses current ability, skills and knowledge which leads to a recommended level to matches student's skill level and knowledge and will best serve growth and safety safety. A level assessment is not mandatory but is recommend for newcomers with previous swimming experience.

Course Skills
- The student comes to the pool ready to swim at their lesson time and meets the instructor for a brief talk
- All the student needs is their swimsuits, goggles (optional), a swim cap and towel. Swimtastic will provide any other equipment required for the assessment
- The instructor will ask the student to perform a series of tasks that will cover Water Comfort and Safety Skills, Basic Swimming Skills, Technique, Endurance and Strength and Safety and Rescue Skills which will take 10-15 minutes
- Lesson duration includes: Welcome & introduction, 10-15 mins pool assessment session, pool bank feedback, follow up assessment report via portal
