Course description
The swimmer has now learnt all four strokes and has been introduced to the two strokes used in lifesaving. The aim of this level is to develop the swimmer’s technique and increase the distance of the swimmer. At this level we encourage quality swimming over quantity swimming. The swimmer’s lifesaving skills continue teaching the swimmer the valuable non-contact lifeguarding skills.

Course Skills
- Perform a feet first surface dive and swim along the bottom for 5m
- Perform Front crawl for 20m
- Perform Back crawl for 20m
- Perform correct arm pull on breaststroke for 10m
- Perform correct leg kick on breaststroke for 10m
- Perform Full Breaststroke 15m (good quality & correct technique)
- Perform full butterfly 10am ( stroke taking shape)
- Thread water for 45 seconds raising one hand every 10 seconds calling for help
- Tow a subject 10m using buoyant and also non - buoyant object
