Adults looking for a gentler pool and water supported aqua workout

Enjoy a fun and enjoyable low impact activity in time to music whilst in the comfort of a warm swimming pool

Our Aqua Aerobics classes are low intensity and suitable for all levels of fitness. Each session will give your body a gentle workout to help improve balance, flexibility and co-ordination through water-based cardio and strength-training exercises that include jumps, kicks, twists and lunges performed in time to music.

Classes are held in a supportive and fun environment, led by qualified, enthusiastic and experienced instructors.

All the reasons that make Aqua-aerobics great for fitness can be applied to Injury Rehabilitation. Low intensity movements combined with water support, resistance and suspension make it ideal.

Swimtastic instructors are known for their expertise and their friendly, hands on approach to tuition.

Warm Pools
Our pools are temperature controlled so you don’t have to work hard to feel comfortable.

What's Involved...

Join our social and fun aqua aerobics classes. Led by a trained instructor, you can expect a full-body workout with up to 14 participants that combines water-based cardio and strength-training exercises. Being able to swim isn’t even essentially as you'll always be able to reach the pool floor. In fact aqua aerobics is ideal to build water confidence. Exercises include jumps, kicks, twists and lunges

At the pool
Each weekly session lasts 40 minutes but please allow time in your schedule for changing before and after.
Groups are small and capped at a maximum of 14 places.

What do I bring?
Swimwear, towels and toiletries are all that are required.
Swimtastic provide any additional swimming materials needed.
We provide you with full instruction on how to prepare before you start, so don’t worry, it’s nice and easy.

Next Term
At the end of each term, you will be offered priority places in the following term before bookings open to the public. These offers stay live for 7 days only, so it’s very important you let us know if you want to book or not.

Course Breakdown
Each course consists of 9 weekly sessions. Sometimes the 9 weeks are broken by breaks for holidays.
We run 5 courses (5 terms) per calendar year.

Booking Information

Swimtastic User Account If you are a new customer we will ask you to set up a user account. A user account is necessary to book a course. Once created you can use it to see course attendance and progression, purchase history, certificates and more.

Attendees
When booking a new course we will collect all the details of those attending the course. 

Booking more than 1 course
It’s easy book more than one course. Just go through the process and after you add a course to your cart, you’ll be asked if you’d like to book another.

Follow on Course Offers 
To avail of a priority place offer in the next term you must book it through your user account within the specified time to secure your place.

Aqua Aerobics Courses

This is a non progressive programme with an emphasis on routine, support guidance and of course the facility of a swimming pool. The water provides both natural resistance and support helping gradually build strength and endurance and is suitable for adults at any level of fitness. It uses gentle and highly accessible exercises.

Activities Include:

  • Leg lifts - Gentle
  • Arm curls - Gentle
  • Water push ups - Gentle
  • Water twists -  Gentle
  • Water lunges - Gentle
